Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has donated 1 billion riyals (approximately $266 million) to support housing ownership in the kingdom, according to a report by The National. The donation aims to assist Saudi citizens in securing suitable housing, aligning with the country’s Vision 2030 goals to improve quality of life and economic prosperity.
The funds will be directed through the Sakani program, a government initiative that facilitates homeownership by providing financing solutions, subsidized mortgages, and affordable housing options. Since its launch in 2017, Sakani has helped hundreds of thousands of Saudi families acquire homes.
This latest contribution underscores the crown prince’s commitment to addressing housing challenges and ensuring citizens have access to stable living conditions. Housing affordability remains a key focus in Saudi Arabia’s economic and social reforms under Vision 2030.
